(Certified Financial Planner) Certification
A certified financial planner or CFP is an individual that helps prepare
financial plans for individuals. A CFP
can assist individuals in a variety of aspects from their personal finances to
their professional finances as well as dealing with estate planning. To become a CFP one must first get a
certification in finance and take a CFP course.
These courses include financial courses and focus on preparing
individuals to have careers in Financial Advisory Services.
Many that are going back to school to get be a CFP are individuals that are
either just coming into the business and are looking to get take a CFP course
and financial courses that will help them break into the industry, or they are
individuals that have been financial planners but find that they need to get
certified in order to continue working.

undergraduates (12th pass), graduates (in any stream) or working

globally qualified, want a professional qualification that can be completed in
a year, or want to work with companies in financial services or start their own
businesses should consider applying for the CFP course.
Once admitted for the CFP course the certification program is based on the
regular mode, distance learning, and the challenge status. These different options are what allow
individuals to find the program that works best for them, whether it is in the
classroom, or by distance learning/self-study.
The CFP course consists of 5 modules that help prepare students for being a
certified financial planner and educate them on the basics of finance.

There are exams for all of the modules except for Module 1. The exams can be taken daily as they are
assigned and are computer based. Each exam
is 2 hours and a passing grade is 50%.
The AFP exam is 4 hours and a passing grade is 50%.
Taking coursework to become a CFP is a great way to either find a career or
boost a career in financial planning that you may already have. FPA gives individuals the instruction,
